About me

As a fine art equine photographer I have traveled to a number of captivating locations in search of the wildest of wild horses … some of my favorite places are Sable Island, with its unique and scruffy families of wild horses located 100 miles off the coast of Nova Scotia, the huge herds on the Onaqui range of the Great Basin Desert in NW Utah, Colorado’s colorful Sand Wash Basin horses, Nevada’s vast wide-open plains, the rolling hills of Return to Freedom Wild Horse Sanctuary in California and Arizona’s own Navajo Nation.

What drives me? It's the soft and sentient side of wild horses that often goes unnoticed. When creating my art from my photographs, I aim to unveil the gentleness that resides beneath their wild exterior. There's something truly special about capturing the quiet moments of reflection, the gentle interactions between family members in their herds, and the graceful way they move through their world.

Through my artwork I invite you to witness the tenderness, the connection, and the untamed grace that defines the lives of wild horses. I do hope you'll feel the same awe and love that I do for these incredible beings when you view my work.

My photographic art has received both national and international honors and awards. Some are: the Siena International Photo Awards in Siena, Italy, the Moscow International Photo Awards (Russia), the prestigious PX3 Paris International Photo Awards (Gold Award) Paris, France, the WPE World International Awards, and the Tokyo International Photo Awards, Tokyo, Japan. I have been awarded #1 Black & White Photographer in the United States 2021 and #3 Black & White Photographer 2021 in the World by One Eyeland Photo Awards. My work has been published in Arizona Highways magazine, Cowboys and Indians, Shutterbug amongst others.

I have had the honor of working with some of the largest design firms in the United States on projects both large and small. My work graces the walls of private collectors, major restaurants and five star hotels throughout the United States.

After decades of work and travel abroad I am now happily settled with my family on a small remote ranch in Northern Arizona where I have my own horses to ride and photograph.
