People Portraits.
Horses can capture hearts, it's true
Their beauty, their grace, people pursue
With a love that's deep and pure
Horses forever allure
A bond between horse and human, truly to aspire to.
PORTRAITURE
Through my portraits of people with their horses, I try to capture the close bond between the two in a variety of ways. Close-up shots of horses and their person can show the emotions and connection each has for each other, as well as the personalities and character of both the horse and the owner. Additionally, candid shots of the horse and person interacting and spending time together can show the bond they share in a more natural and relaxed setting. I want my photographs to capture the close bond between people and their horses, preserving the memories of their special relationship for years to come. If the portrait is of a person only I want to apply the same principles of showing an emotion and connection to the viewer. When photographing people I pose them in their everyday environments in order to tell a story or show who they are in what they do. I always photograph in natural lighting.
